Financial reports of the Library of Congress provide important financial information for the Congress, and the American people on the stewardship, management, and leadership of the public and private funds entrusted to us. To date, the Library's consolidated financial statements have received clean (unmodified) opinions from independent auditing firms starting with the fiscal 1996 reports.
