A and Field and Staff, 1st South Carolina Infantry Regiment in uniform with sword] 1 photograph : albumen print on card mount ; mount 99 x 63 mm (carte de visite format) | Photograph shows identified soldier, who was slightly wounded at the Battle of Gaine's Mill, Virginia on June 27, 1862. During the Battle of Antietam, Maryland on September 17, 1862 he fainted from heat exhaustion and resigned on November 12, 1862 due to poor health.
