[Design for certificate for Massachusetts Charitable Mechanics Association] 1 drawing : ink brush and ink wash over graphite underdrawing. | Allegorical drawing shows such Greek muses as Minerva, goddess of war and knownledge (center), and to her left muses of the arts and to her right, such artisans as shipbuilders, blacksmiths, silversmiths, architects, and clockmakers. The certificate was used for the Fourteenth Exhibition in 1881.
