Rebecca Makkai is the author of the bestselling novel “The Great Believers,” which was a finalist for both the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award; it was the winner of the Andrew Carnegie Medal, the Stonewall Book Award, the Clark Prize and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. Her other books are the novels “The Borrower” and “The Hundred-Year House,” and the collection “Music for Wartime.” A 2022 Guggenheim Fellow, Makkai is on the faculty of the University of Nevada and Northwestern University, and is the artistic director of StoryStudio Chicago. Her latest release, “I Have Some Questions for You: A Novel,” will be featured at the 2023 National Book Festival.
