Henry Hoke is an editor at The Offing and the author of several books of fiction, memoir and poetry. His work appears in No Tokens, Electric Literature, Triangle House and Carve. Hoke holds a Master of Fine Arts from California Institute of the Arts, where he taught from 2014-2019. His play, “At Sundown,” premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and his short film, “Taking Shape,” screened on HBO. Hoke co-created the performance series Enter>text in Los Angeles. His newest book, “Open Throat: A Novel,” about a queer, lonely mountain lion navigating a climate-ravaged Los Angeles, will be featured at the 2023 National Book Festival.
