Summary

  • Six-panel cartoon announcing the start and the cast of characters for the next set of episodes in Wheelan's series of Minute movies. This strip mimicked the serial movies of the Twenties and Thirties, and each set of episodes featured the same actors playing the leading roles. In "Days of Yore," Hazel Dearie plays "the fair Beatrice, daughter of Cedric, the Saxon," Dick Dare plays "Giles, Earl of Dunham and member of Robin Hood's band," Ralph McSneer plays the villainous "Norman de Brissac," and Fuller Phun plays "Girth, a dizzy drudge in the Saxon's castle." The series is billed as the "story of feudal times, when robber barons from Normandy invaded the peaceful shores of England, plundering and despoiling as they went."
