- Shadow of a doubt
Summary
- Joseph and Emma Newton and their family lead a quiet life in the northern California town of Santa Rosa. Emma's brother, Charlie, has come for a visit, much to the delight of "young Charlie" the eldest daughter, and also his namesake. She idolizes her charming uncle, who seems to understand her feelings of frustration with the tiny town she lives in. However, upon the arrival of two detectives looking for the serial killer known as "The Merry Widow Murderer", Uncle Charlie's behavior begins to change. Young Charlie starts to suspect that the uncle she adores is hiding a terrible secret.
