- - This edition not found in Norton, F.J. Descriptive catalogue of printing in Spain and Portugal, 1501-1520.
- - The opening woodcut initial "S" on leaf a2 is the same as was used in the incunabulum edition (ISTC if00099500, GW 9791), printed in Burgos by Friedrich Biel about 1498-1500; however, this is a different setting.
- - LC copy has marginal manuscript annotations.
- - Identification received via e-mail by the cataloger from examination of the digitized copy by Dr. O. Duntze. "The type on the title page seems to be Biel's type 262G which (according to Norton) was used from 1508 onwards. The display type used for the first line of folio 2a is the one the recorded by Norton as c.160G. This was also used from 1508 onwards, and it differs from the types of similar size recorded for the incunable period. The text type seems to be the same [as] in the incunable edition GW9791 (type 7:97G.) According to Norton, this type was used from 1490 till 1517 and it can be distinguished from the similar types used by Hagembach by the significant paragraph mark that we also find in the Flosculus. All these types were also used by Biel's son in law and successor Alonso de Melgar, who also published an edition of the Flosculus (Norton 319.) But Norton's description of [that] edition clearly differs from [this] edition. ... According to Norton, the text type was recast in September 1515, from then on using a round d with a flatter top than in the earlier state ... This is of course a very small difference and sometimes not easy to spot, but I think the type of the Flosculus is using the earlier d with a steeper top. ..." he04 2019-07-31
