  • -  Sefer Sodot u-segulot. 385 charms, spells, amulets, folk medical recipes, prayers, formulas to ask questions in dreams, to improve memory, to be beloved, to tell the future and other devices compiled from various sources (ff. 1r-191v). Another hand added a list of contents on ff. 192-205. According to the title page the manuscript was copied in Genoa in 1711 גיינובה כ"ה לחדש רביעי תע"א לפ"ק. Inter alia, a recipe to ask a question in a dream by Moses Helev of Barcelona ש"ח מפי הר' משה חלב ברצלוני (f. 4r), amulets for a woman in labor by Peretz of Barcelona קבלה מהר' פרץ ברצלוני (f. 4r-v) by R. Vitale מהרב ר' ויטאלי (ff. 4v-5r), and by R. Shem Tov בשם הר' ש"ט (f. 5r-v), amulets passed down by Hananiah b. Shem Tov Molkho אלו העניינים קבלתי מהר' חנניה בן הגאון הגדול הר' שם טוב מלכו (f. 8v and following). Owner (f. 1r): Pinhas שלי הקטן פנחס. On the back flyleaf a previous owner, the bookdealer Chaim Meir Horowitz (1855-1905) wrote his pseudonym איש מלחמה. Corrosive ink has penetrated the paper and parts are difficult to read.
