Summary

  • A three-member board mediates disputes and disagreements submitted for review by the people involved. Complainants and respondents are interviewed by A.L. Alexander and the mediators. In this episode, the board considers two cases. In the first case, a woman is upset by her fiancee's unwillingness to vidicate her honor by fighting whenever she recieves unwanted attention from other men. In the second case, the board considers the case of a young woman with two children, separated from her irresponsible husband, and pregnant by man who does not want to marry her. She is frightened that her husband will take her children away from her. Her mother refuses to help her, saying that her daughter has gotten herself into a mess and it is her responsibility to get herself out.
