Summary
- Angelique, known as Angel, moves from France to the United States to marry American architect, John Smith. The newlyweds set up housekeeping in Los Angeles, California. She tries her best to be a good housewife but sometimes runs into problems as she learns English and adapts to her new life and culture. In this episode, Johnny is preoccupied with problems at work--a new accountant has found a discrepancy in the books and for no apparent reason, his main suspect is Johnny. He's also concerned that Angel is a soft touch. He warns her that people will take advantage of her impulsive kindness to down-on-their-luck strangers. They do, but that does not stop her. While she and Susie are out for lunch, their terrible waitress, Cassie, gets fired. Angel immediately hires her as a housekeeper. But in this case, her good intentions get good results. Cassie and her family credit Angel with their sudden good fortune, and find a way to repay her kindness that works out for everyone.
