Notes
- - Title and notes from Annenberg Space for Photography exhibit spreadsheet.
- - Caption continues: After suffering from excruciating stomach pain for years, Sumeir went to the clinic located within the Thet Kay Pyin camp. She was transferred to Sittwe Hospital, which is located outside the camp. After surgery, she was quickly discharged and returned to the camp with no post-operative care, no information about her condition and no medication. She passed away three days after this picture was taken. "We are not dogs, we are not cows, we are people," Azumer said. "There is a difference in how they treat us. They leave us to our own devices."
