The pages of the book are used as backing for the clippings. The book is in a slipcase with the spine title, "Notebook of Francis Lieber Filled With Newspaper Clipping." The spine title erroneously attributes the scrapbook to Francis Lieber when in fact it belongs to G. Norman Lieber.
