- - On February 20, 1943, the Parícutin volcano was born between the towns of Angahuan and Parangaricutiro in the Purepecha Plateau of Michoacán. The above happened before the eyes of the peasant Dionisio Pulido, which made him the only human being who has seen a volcano rise. The lava was advancing slowly destroying all the peasant houses and surrounded the temple whose materials resisted as regards the facade and the apse. The inhabitants of the town were transferred to found New San Juan. Today you can visit the ruins of the town on excursions on foot or on horseback.
- - Note in Spanish: Excursionistas a caballo rumbo a Parangaricutiro.
