Summary
- Geographers on film is a collection of recorded video interviews conducted with hundreds of geographers between August 1970 and the early 1990s, including scholars who have shaped the discipline. The interviews highlight the rapid transformations in technology throughout the 20th century that brought about vast changes in people's daily lives and in how geographers conducted research. In this interview, Peter Gould discusses his education and early career, and talks about how to deal with problems in geography today, the relevance of good theory, his thoughts on behavioral geography, the macro-geographic approach, geography in the 1920s and 1930s, and his book, Spatial organization, co-authored with Ronald Abler and John S. Adams.
