About this Item
Title
- National retail credit survey
Summary
- This pamphlet reports on the second part of a tripartite national survey of the retail credit system that was conducted by the U.S. Department of Commerce at the request of the National Retail Credit Association. It analyses the credit practices of a group of 4,899 automobile dealers, automobile-accessory stores, independent groceries, bakeries, radio stores, electrical-appliance stores, jewelry stores, and optical-goods stores whose total net sales in 1927 exceeded $670,000,000. The report sheds light on credit losses, credit terms, the use of credit bureaus, and collection percentages and serves as a guide for individual merchants. It is not a published work.
