- - Text begins (leaf 2a) with the first of altogether 244 chapter captions: De modo reddendi ius.
- - The text, issued to Giovanni Antonio Venier (previously Venetian ambassador to Rome) upon his assignment to Istria, combines information, directives, regulations, etc.; the Italian chapters (leaf 95a mid-page through 176a) are decisions, dated 1536-1574, of the Venetian Republic.
- - On 176a, formula: Jurasti honorem et proficuum [sic] Illustrissimi Dominii nostri, eundo, stando, et redeundo. In a different hand: Datti in nostro Ducali Palatio die xiij Martii ... MDLXXIIII. Signed: Aloy[sius] Zambert[us], Secret[arius]. On 179a-189b, table of contents.
