- - Summary: In this two-part interview, Isaac Rodriguez discusses growing up, his parents and his connection to his city of Houston and the Chicano lifestyle. He describes his early exposure to different genres of music and how Chicano music came to be his preference after a stint as a bassist in a ska band. He also talks about his evolution as a DJ and record collector and starting the Tejas Got Soul concert series. Tejas Got Soul became a way to share his love for Chicano music and "give flowers to the surviving musicians of the genre." Isaac also talks about the Houston phenomenon of Chicano music.
