The position serves as the Supervisory Coordinator for Digital Projects located in the Digitization Services Section, Digital Collections Management and Services Division, Digital Services Directorate, Library Services within the Library Collection Services Group at the Library of Congress and reports to the Manager, Digitization Services. The incumbent supervises a core group of digital conversion specialists and technicians, and further coordinates through and at the direction of the Manager, Digitization Services, and the work of digital conversion specialists assigned to divisions in Library Services.

The incumbent facilitates the management of digital library services and their integration with traditional library services through library or Directorate programs and special projects, involving the digitization and presentation of Library collections, as well as the service of and access to the Library's digital media holdings, which span multimedia forms of expression, including text, graphic, photographic, moving image, cartographic, sound/audio, and mixed media, including web content The incumbent liaises with library, IT and digital media experts, to coordinate, manage or direct new projects or program components that include internal communication strategies, centralized archival facilities, new digital content policies, metadata and standards for content development, as well as new models for information access and delivery to ensure broad access to digital materials in a collaborative Internet-based environment.
