  • David Amram (b. 1930) is an American composer, conductor, and instrumentalist. In 1969, he was commissioned by the Hans Kindler Foundation for the composition Quintet for Winds. Manuscripts are available in the Hans Kindler Foundation Collection (https://lccn.loc.gov/2016570574). In 1995, he was commissioned by the Carolyn Royall Just Fund for the composition A Little Rebellion, Thomas Jefferson for string orchestra, woodwind quintet, percussion, and narrator. The Music Division holds holograph sketches (https://lccn.loc.gov/97706876).
