Biography Cristina Henríquez

Cristina Henríquez was born in Delaware, United States in 1977. She is the author of close to four books, including Come Together, Fall Apart: A Novella and Stories (2006), The Book of Unknown Americans: A Novel (2014) and The Great Divide (2024). In addition to her novels, she has also contributed short stories to periodicals, including AGNI, Glimmer Train, The New Yorker, and TriQuarterly. Her novels and short stories mainly narrate the Panamanian immigrant experience. She also worked for Dallas public television and radio stations. Henríquez won Northwestern magazine’s first place in their short fiction competition and the Alfredo Cisneros Del Moral Foundation Award. She currently lives in Chicago, Illinois.

Es la autora de alrededor de cuatro libros, entre ellos Come Together, Fall Apart: A Novella and Stories (Venir juntos, desmoronarnos: Una novela y cuentos) (2006), The World in Half (Entre dos aguas) (2009) y The Book of Unknown Americans: A Novel (El libro de los americanos desconocidos) (2014).
