  • ON 15 AUGUST 1997, IE2 INVESTIGATED CASE 1761. THE TEAM INTERVIEWED TWO WITNESSES WHO PROVIDED FIRSTHAND ACCOUNTS OF A BURIAL OF AN AMERICAN PILOT. THEY THEN GUIDED THE TEAM TO A BURIAL SITE ADJACENT TO A HELICOPTER CRASH SITE. THE TEAM SURVEYED THE AREA AND OBSERVED SEVERAL LARGE PIECES OF HELICOPTER WRECKAGE AND ONE PIECE WITH ID DATA. IE2 DID NOT RECOVER OR RECEIVE ANY REMAINS OR PERSONAL EFFECTS.
