Library Music Division Receives First Prize for Adventurous Programming

The Library's Music Division has just been notified that it has received the prestigious ASCAP-Chamber Music America Adventurous Programming Award for its 1997-1998 centennial season, which was held in the renovated Coolidge Auditorium. The Library received first prize in the major presenters category, against such competition as Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center's Terrace Theater, with special note taken of the Library's program of commissioning new music.
