The digital reflectance meter measures brightness, opacity, color, fluorescence, whiteness, and tint of paper and paper-board to TAPPI standards of 45° illumination and 0° viewing geometry.
Applications:
- measure the effects of photo-degradation for quality control testing of materials used in collection housings
- develop standard test methods to measure the effects of acid migration and discoloration of documents, art, and artifacts on paper
- measure discoloration and staining of paper caused by adhesives used in labels and security devices
