  • -  Provenance: Sir Thomas Phillipps and R. L. Harmsworth collections. The King reminds the audiencia of the basic facts of the rebellion of Lope de Aguirre and states that he has been informed that many of those who escaped when the revolt was suppressed had made their way to Peru and other provinces and had escaped punishment. He commands the audiencia to seek out these men and take judicial action against them. He is having a list of their names appended to the cedula. The audiencia is to see to it that none of the guilty parties remain in those lands and to report on the action taken.
