Products/Services Available Through the FEDLINK Contract

ScienceDirect is an electronic information retrieval platform offering peer-reviewed scholarly literature. The platform offers single solution access to articles from up to 3,800 journals and over 37,000 book titles, covering 24 major disciplines across science, technology and health. In total, ScienceDirect can offer over 15 million publications. Elsevier has digitized as much of the pre-1995 journal owned-content as possible, bringing articles onto ScienceDirect from as far back as 1823.

Scopus is the largest curated abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature, and features smart information retrieval tools to search, track, analyze and visualize research. Updated daily, Scopus delivers the most comprehensive overview of the world’s research output in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences and arts and humanities. SciVal is an analytical lens into the Scopus database that allows the users to retrieve and compare information about sets of authors, documents, and institutions.

SciVal provides quick, easy access to the research performance of 8,500 research institutions and 220 nations worldwide. SciVal’s modules provide Overview, Benchmarking, Collaboration and Trends analysis.

Expert Lookup is an information retrieval tool that helps the user identify scientific experts. Expert Lookup allows sophisticated searching of the Scopus database. Powered by Elsevier's Fingerprint Engine, Expert Lookup uses state-of-the-art Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques to extract key concepts from unstructured text to suggest highly skilled experts.

Pure is the world’s leading research information management system that helps institutions improve their performance with up-to-date data and analytics. The main elements of Pure include the proven ability to be integrated with almost any in house data source, built-in integrations with the most-used online data sources, powerful integrations with the wider Elsevier portfolio.

Digital Commons is a research showcase, a publishing platform, and an institutional repository. Digital Commons is used to showcase an institution/agency’s full breadth of research, articles, reports, data, conference proceedings and policy documents. It is the only repository that integrates solutions for all content, from custom-designed journals to large datasets and streaming video and audio.

Knovel provides engineering information and data analytics that enables innovation through 40+ technical reference and premium content offerings that can be tailored to any organization’s needs. Each of Knovel’s offerings focuses on an area of engineering expertise and spans across multiple sources to deliver all relevant data, including full-text content, equations, materials and substances data, including interactive charts and graphs.

Engineering Village is the information discovery platform of choice for engineering content. It comprises engineering literature databases including Compendex, Inspec, Chimica, NTIS, CBNB, and Ei Patents providing comprehensive coverage from a range of trusted, reliable and relevant sources: scholarly journals, conference proceedings, trade publications, patents, government reports, books, and more.

Geofacets offers over 1.75 million maps, figures and tables sourced from esteemed scientific publications, covering a wide spectrum of geoscience disciplines from general geology to specialized subject areas like organic geochemistry and sequence stratigraphy.

GeoBase consists of the latest information on the earth sciences, ecology, geology, human and physical geography, and environmental sciences, focusing on, and highlighting, the human and social impacts on both. GeoBase covers 3+ million abstract records.

GeoRef provides comprehensive coverage of geoscience literature published worldwide. GeoRef contains 4+ million abstract records.
