Midwest Library Service�s (MLS) specialties include the procurement and supply of current and retrospective books published or distributed in North America. MLS specializes in and maintains a current title inventory of university press publications and scientific/technical publications. MLS routinely accepts special orders for items from small and hard-to-locate publishers as well as books no longer in print. Customers can place orders through MLS�s web-based system, InterACQ, or by e-mail, fax, telephone, or mail.
OPTIONAL SERVICES: MLS offers an approval plan with comprehensive coverage of university press publishing. Profiles are established based on subject (Library of Congress Classifications), non -subject, and publisher criteria. MLS offers Out-of-Print searching for books thought to be in print at the time of ordering as well as books known to be out-of-print.
PROCESSING: MLS offers customized processing, from partial to complete shelf-ready, physical book processing, using materials as specified by the library. Our processing services are highly customizable, easily modified to meet the Library�s changing requirements, and guaranteed to comply with the Library�s instructions. A full range of value-added services are available, including bindery, spine labels, bar code labels, full MARC records, Mylar jackets, property stamping, security strips and RFID tags, WorldCat processing, Kapco covering, label protectors, etc. MLS�s processing materials are of the highest quality available.
