- Black and white hotographs show show exterior and interior views and details of buildings and monuments of historical and artistic interest along the Danube River in Germany and Austria, ca. 1944. Includes views of Donaueschingen, Tuttlingen, Sigmaringen, Ulm, Ingoldstadt, Regensburg, Passau, and Linz. Includes views of the 17th century Domkirche St. Stephan in Passau, cathedral and Rathaus of Regensburg, Walhalla, Frauenkirche in Ingolstadt, Burg Greifenstein, 15th century abbey of Melk and the abbey at St. Florian. Also includes general views and landscape views of scenes along the Danube River as well as views of buildings and scenes in smaller towns along the Danube. Includes views of Ulm, Germany and Ulm Münster including later views after war damage. Associated with of the "Führerauftrag Monumentalmalerei," an official German project to photograph immovable works of art threatened by bombing during the war, 1943-45.
