In the foreground are generals on horseback above Turkish troops identified by a long spear with a crescent moon at the top. Also pictured are camels, troop formations and the direction of the flow of the Tisza river. The print also includes a listing of 42 imperial battallions and their location on the battlefield. The battle of Senta fought on September 11, 1697 was a major victory of defeat of Hapsburg imperial forces over the Ottoman empire during the Great Turkish War (1683-1699).
