Summary

  • On the eve of the Día de la Raza celebration in New York City, Mateo, a boxer, returns home from prison, having been released four months early for good behavior. His mother-in-law and his young brother-in-law, Pepito are thrilled, but his wife, Blanca faints at the sight of him. The doctor tells Mateo that Blanca is several months pregnant; he knows he can't be the father.
