About this Item

Title

  • 12 angry men

Other Title

  • Twelve angry men

Summary

  • In a New York City courthouse a 12-man jury deliberates the case of an 18-year-old, on trial for stabbing his father to death. If there is any reasonable doubt they are to return a verdict of not guilty. If he is found guilty, the boy will receive a mandatory death sentence. In a preliminary vote, all jurors vote "guilty" except Juror 8, who argues that the fate of a boy facing the death penalty merits more consideration. The ensuing hours of deliberation and conflict force all the jurors to examine their own morals and values.
