Preservation Services Internship is open to Currently Enrolled Students (Undergraduate, Graduate)

The goal of the internship is to provide Library Science and Information students and graduates with the opportunity to study and work with major Library of Congress business operations and binding services in the Preservation Directorate. Internship activities include: Preservation Business Operations (contracts and projects management), Preservation Binding (program management), and other activities such as research specification development and deployment using modeling/design tools to develop preservation-relevant processes, data models, and flowcharts. Interns also have the opportunity to: tour the other Preservation Directorate divisions, as well as, the many custodial divisions in the Library of Congress; participate in training and Preservation Directorate professional activities; participate in outreach and lab tours for visitors, relevant in-house lectures, and training sessions.
