Mobile apps from the Library of Congress are available from various mobile app distribution platforms:
- Ask a Librarian: Our Ask a Librarian service uses Springshare’s LibAnswers software. Springshare Privacy Policy.
- Appointments, Tours, Timed Entry: Some Library of Congress offices manage reservation requests for appointments, tours and ticketed timed entries using the US eDirect, Etix, LibAnswers, SignUpGenius platforms.
- Email Alerts: We maintain lists of subscribers that have opted in to receive our periodic email updates. Subscriptions to email alerts are managed and delivered via the Granicus GovDelivery communications platform. - Online payments and donations to the Library: Some Library events and websites that offer services and/or registration for a fee or that accept donations to support the Library process payments via Pay.Gov, a secure online payment service provided by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Embedded Third-Party Content and Applications on Library of Congress Websites
Some of our web content using third-party software, platforms and/or applications is presented under a Library of Congress web address. In those instances, a link to the privacy policy of those third parties will be prominently displayed. A list of those commonly used third-party platforms and applications follows:
- Research Guides hosted on Springshare’s LibGuides platform will display a “Hosted by Springshare” message and a link to the Springshare Privacy Policy.

- Some Library of Congress websites employ persistent cookies to enable Adobe software to measure how new and returning visitors use our websites over time.
