Preservation & Digitization Services

New IDIQs Awarded!

FEDLINK offers assisted acquisition of preservation and digitization services through multiple IDIQ contracts.

Digitization

FEDLINK vendors convert reflective, transmissive, and audiovisual materials, including but not limited to books, bound and unbound documents, photographic negatives, microforms, audio, video, and film, according to industry standards and federal guidelines.

Conservation

FEDLINK vendors perform conservation treatments on library and archival materials including but not limited to books and bound and unbound documents, manuscripts, architectural drawings, photographs, maps, wallpaper, and works of art on paper. Experienced conservators provide stabilization, repairs, and housing of materials to ensure long term preservation while maintaining the aesthetic quality of the original form.

Digital Archiving and Web Harvesting

FEDLINK vendors offer solutions for preservation of and access to digital assets, such as hosting and management of digital content, digital asset management systems, and web harvesting to discover and preserve collections of digital content.

Preservation Consultation and Training

FEDLINK vendors offer consultation and training on a broad range of preservation-related topics including collection needs assessment, digitization, collections care, and disaster planning.

Digital Forensics and Transfer (NEW)

FEDLINK vendors provide forensic services for legacy and obsolete audio, data, film, and video media formats, such as CDs, floppy discs, magnetic tapes, solid state media, etc. Experience staff examine the materials, identify and analyze data, and develop a report for federal libraries. Data can then be transferred to updated formats.

  3. Review the procurement action lead times for the estimated number of days to award a contract, order, or modification.

Customer Reminders

As a FEDLINK customer you are required to notify FEDLINK if you do not receive the products or services ordered. Review your FEDLINK monthly statements and invoices for accuracy. If there is an invoice discrepancy, notify FEDLINK immediately.
